A Cat’s Age

Why is it that cat’s never seem to age?  Once they reach adulthood they always look the same.  Dogs get a few grey hairs and they get that look about them. You can tell by looking if a dog is a senior. But it’s very hard to tell how old a cat is just by looking at their face.

This is Boo. She’s no long with us but this photo was taken when she was 20 years old.  That’s over a hundred years old in human age. Not a wrinkle.

And this is Sonny.  He just turned 17. Doesn’t look a day over 12 or 8 or 5. How would you know?

Maybe that’s what 9 lives will do for you if you don’t use them up. But Lord knows Boo used up a few of hers in her younger years. I swear that cat could run faster scared than ANY other animal could run hungry.  Sonny’s 9 lives are still in tact. He just gets a lot of beauty sleep.  In fact I think that’s the only thing I’ve noticed about him as he ages. He sleeps more …if that’s possible. Maybe that’s why he’s so beautiful.  Hmmm, …must go take a nap.

Looks like he is sleeping on a “handwoven” blanket …… who would not sleep a lot laying on top of that????? Great pictures.

He only gets to sleep on that for photos.
