I think we have the prettiest wildflowers in all the world growing here on PEI.  Our ditches and meadows have such a rich variety of vegetation in them and they look great at any time of year, not just when the lupines are in bloom.  The goldenrod, wild roses, elders, asters, and fireweed make a wonderful display of dried flowers at this time of year.  It took me a while to find a shot that worked well for the camera but I think this field of regenerating growth works reasonably well.

I used a pastel filter on this shot to soften the colours just a tad, which also softened the textures a bit, but I don’t mind that. I think it works for this shot.  It was taken on one of those great semi-sunny days when the sky is just perfect for fall shots.
